About the Project

The IHG Even Hotel near the Orlando Airport was design and built by Construction and Design Group of Florida. This 4-story hotel is situated over a flood compensation area, causing the building and the parking deck to be designed as completely elevated system. The existing site required significant remediation as over 50,000 cubic yards of muck were excavated and replaced with structural fill from this 2-Acre site prior to vertical construction. CDG met the many challenges of this project head-on including a complicated permitting process, working with FEMA on LOMR requirements, changing the power provider from Duke to OUC, multiple off-site improvements, and the design and construction of a non-typical hotel.
